Summer has begun

Tyler was out of town last weekend for his sisters missionary farewell, so I took to the boys to a pool at a family members condo. We had a blast, except for the last 5 minutes when an old guy told me Kellen shouldn't be in the hot tub and to take him out. What he failed to understand was that the hot tub was lukewarm, and I was keeping a close eye on him. I wanted to tell him to mind his own business, but I decided to be civil. Anyway, here are a few pictures we took...the ones with the boys wearing the goggles are my favorite.

Mother's Day

My wonderful husband and kids surprised me Sunday morning with flowers and breakfast in bed. It was so sweet and made me feel very special. I am beyond blessed to be the mother of two such fun, energetic little boys. I am also grateful to have such a patient, hardworking, good looking husband, who is also my best friend.

Utah and Twins

I had the wonderful opportunity to travel solo to Utah to visit my family for a few days. Two reasons for my visit were to see my adorable new nephew and to attend a baby shower for my brother and his wife who were expecting twins girls. My brother and his wife were flying out from Missouri for the shower the same morning I was. They had a routine visit at the doctors that morning before they left, and found out unexpectedly that she was 4 cm dilated and 90% effaced. Needless to say, they sent her straight to the hospital. Considering the fact that she was only 25 weeks along, didn't make this news very exciting. We were all sad that the baby shower would have to be canceled, but obviously the health of the twins was much more important. They were able to stop her labor until Wed, May 2nd when she had to go in for an emergency c-section to deliver Mylo (1 lb 8 oz), and Mia (1 lb 12 oz). They are absolutely the most gorgeous little things ever. They are little fighters and have been doing really well. We can't believe what a miracle it was that they went in for that routine doctors visit that morning. We have been one very blessed family, and we can't wait for them to return home safe and well with Sam and Lacey.

I on the other hand was still able to go out and visit my family. It was such a great trip getting to relax and enjoy time with loved ones. It was fun getting to play and spend quality time with my nieces and nephews also, while not having to worry about my own kids. Although, it did make me very sad that they didn't get to play with their cousins, but we'll be coming out again in July. While in Utah we celebrated my brother and sisters b-day, did temple work, watched movies, ate yummy food, and much more. I came home rejuvenated and replenished, even though I didn't catch up on as much sleep as I anticipated;)
