Book Club Gals

If you aren't apart of a book club I would definitely recommend it. I joined this group through our ward in Dallas, and after we moved I continued going. I have read some amazing books and made some great friends. I can't wait for next year and all the awesome new books we get to read.

Look What I Can Do Grandpa and Grandma

Kellen can now locate his eyes, ears, mouth, nose, hair, eyebrows, belly button, fingers, toes, teeth, and tongue...and we're working on a few others. Trying to get him to do it on camera though, is a different story. However, I was able to catch a few. You'll have to ignore the runny nose, sorry.

Thanksgiving 2009

Last year, my brother Sam and his wife Lacey came to visit us for Thanksigiving in Texas. This year we got to go visit them in Kansas City, Mo. We left Wednesday and returned Sunday. It was such a fun trip, packed with so many great things. We had an awesome Thanksgiving day and Lacey and I pulled off another delicious feast. The four days consisted of eating, movies, crafts, shopping, church history sites, and much more. I hate how trips with family go so quickly, but we're excited because they'll be coming our way again in January. Thanks so much Sam and Lacey for the wonderful trip. The only downside was the journey to and from where we discovered that Kellen gets car sick. He threw-up both on the drive there and back, but we still love him. We'll just make sure to have a bowl ready next time. Traveling and us just don't seem to go together very well these days, but we're working on it.
It was so cold on Thanksgiving day. We went for a walk by a beautiful lake before preparing our Thanksgiving meal. Kellen was very snug in his stroller but wouldn't sit for very long.

This was the Community of Christ church that was accross the street from the LDS visitors center. Very interesting looking wouldn't you say?
Lacey and I put up and decorated her Christmas tree the last night. It was so much fun. And yes, I always look like a midget standing next to her.
We celebrated Tyler's 27th B-Day after we returned home. Wow, 27!!!

My How Quickly Time Goes

It is amazing to me how quickly my baby has changed into a little boy. I am loving every minute, but could it please just slow down a little? It makes me sad that he will never be a tiny baby again, but I wouldn't change him for the world. He is the most perfect, sweet little thing and I feel so fortunate to be his mother.

My New Love

Tyler and I have now gone from owning one car to two. This has not only made me the happiest person alive, it has allowed me to feel free as a bird. The days of waking up early to drop him off, waking Kellen up from his naps to drop him off, planning my schedule around his work, and being stuck in our apartment are over. I can literally go and do anything I want, whenever I want. Yes, having one car was a good way to save money but it was a little too much work. I am a very blessed individual and I know not many people even have the luxury of owning one car, but right now I'm grateful to have two...one for me, and one for Tyler:) You see, things in Texas are not very close and to walk somewhere is nearly impossible. So, right now I am a very very happy person.

Pumpkin Patch

1 year and 22 lbs = New Car Seat

Kellen finally got a brand new car seat which has opened up a new window to his life...literally. He can now happily converse with Tyler and I and be handed toys and food whenever he wants. No more fighting to fasten his seat belt...life is good. Can you just feel his excitement?

Texas State Fair

Tyler had Monday (Columbus Day) off work so we decided to go to the State Fair. Last year we watched it from our hospital window after delivering Kellen. It was very expensive (don't go on a day that doesn't accept discounts) but a lot of fun. Oprah even came that morning but we just missed her, dang it! We especially loved the little petting zoo. Kellen squealed with delight petting the baby animals. They even had a baby kangaroo that kept climbing in and out of his mothers pouch.
They had tons of yummy fried food, and after much contemplation we decided to try the fried snickers. It wasn't my favorite, I would much rather have it plain. We should've tried the fried peaches and cream.
