Bye Bye Texas

It's official, we've actually moved from Texas. Tyler and I packed up our moving truck Saturday. I flew to Utah later that afternoon and Tyler made the 16 hour drive to Arizona pulling our car...poor guy. It turns out we won't close on our house for another week or maybe more. I'll join him in Arizona April 2nd, but until then I'm enjoying a nice break with my family. I wish Tyler could've come but he starts work on Wednesday. As of now, our stuff is stored in one of his Grandpa's rental houses, so we are very lucky we don't have to pay storage costs. Everything went well with the move and we're definitely hoping we don't have to move again for at least another 5 years. It's not the easiest thing to do when your pregnant and have a active toddler running around. However, we always seem to survive, thanks to all of you who helped us:)

4 Days and Counting

I can't believe we will be leaving Texas this Saturday. I am so excited, but sad at the same time. We have made some wonderful friends here. The past two weeks have consisted of getting together with friends and saying our goodbyes. I don't know what we would do without the church. Everywhere you go, the church provides so many awesome people for you to meet and get to know.

We had dinner with our friends Christie, James, Clark and Joey on Sunday. I am so glad we've gotten to know them. They made our move to Texas so much easier.

We've also been trying to get out as much as we can. I have so many parks around here that I'm going to miss taking Kellen to. Tyler and I have also made an effort to visit all the amazing restaurants we've come to love one last time. Rudy's, your Ribs were awesome.

My sister-in-law Emma has been a great friend to live close to. I'm so sad we've moving just before her baby comes. Hopefully it won't be the last time we're pregnant together...next time we'll be having girls though;)

Kellen's health has finally improved. He is now eating much better and enjoying life again. He has formed a special attachment to his doggie and has to have it with him every time he eats. All though it's adorable, it means I have to wash the dog almost every day.

We're already tired of packing. We've done a great job getting ahead though. All we have left to pack is the kitchen and our clothes. We tried getting rid of all our furniture on craigslist but everyone keeps backing out. Ohwell, I guess it will be nice to have somewhere to sit when we get to Arizona.

We love you Texas and are so grateful for all the experiences and friends you've provided. We are glad to leave, but you will always have a fond place in our hearts.

Bronchitis, Strep, and Two Ear Infections

I feel like this little guy has been sick for forever. He finally got better after a horrible cold and then Tyler and I caught it and gave it right back to him. I took him in to the pediatricians and found out he had bronchitis, strep, and two ear infections. They put him on antibiotics for all three and I went back three days later for a follow-up visit. At the follow-up visit they did an asthma test on him and found out that his breathing improved after the test. So, they're not sure if he has asthma, but they gave me this nebulizer treatment to give to him 4 times a day to clear up his lungs and help him breathe better. I almost cried when I found out I had to put this horrible mask on him. He would scream in histeria whenever he it came time to use it. Yes, try making a 17 month old sit still 4 times a day for 15 minutes, while he squirms and fights you. It has not been easy, however, Kellen has now become quite used to it. After three days, it doesn't bother him anymore. He'll quietly sit on the couch while he watches cartoons as long as I'm right next to him. It's a miracle:) I literally would've given up if he didn't start taking to it. I now have a deep appreciation for all those parents out there who have chilren with any kind of disability that requires constant medical attention. I am so glad I only have to do this for a week.

My happy boy playing in the tub...the moments I live for.
