Brady David Ray

As many of you know, our little man wasn't supposed to be arrive until July 12, but he decided to make a surprise visit on June 27 instead. My water broke at 4:00 a.m. Sunday morning and began our trip to the hospital. When we arrived an hour later we were surprised to find out I was already dilated to a 5. Everything progressed rapidly and he later arrived at 11:28 a.m. weighing 8 lbs, and measuring 21 inches. It's a good thing he came two weeks early or else he would have been a chunker. I had a traumatic c-section with Kellen so we were very lucky to have a great doctor that allowed me to try delivering V-BAC. It seriously couldn't have gone better. It was the most incredible experience seeing him for the first time. My wonderful mother arrived later that day to watch Kellen and she has been a great help. I will post more info later because Brady is hungry:)

Santa Barbara

We went on a road trip last week to Santa Barbara to visit Tyler's family. My doctor strongly advised me not to go and I disobeyed him...boy am I glad nothing happened. It was so nice to get a break from the Arizona heat. We went to the beach, the local zoo, ate yummy food, and watched lots of good movies. It was very relaxing and fun to get away. I love spending time with Tyler's family. It's so nice knowing I married into a family that I enjoy being around. I feel bad for people who feel differently. Unfortunately, our camera battery was dead most of the time so here are just a few pictures we were able to get at the zoo.

The zoo is so much more enjoyable now that Kellen knows and understands what animals are.
Kellen feeding the sheep anything he could find off the ground.
And of course, Kellen's favorite part of the zoo...sitting on this thing. He could have spent the entire day there. We had complete histeria when we took him off.
Look at how close the lion was to the glass, wow!

This is an awesome picture we caught of the lion yawning.
Kellen refusing to look at the camera.

37 weeks

Just a little update so I can remember in the future. I am 37 weeks now and went in for an appointment today to find out that I am 3 cm dilated and 75% effaced. It made me very excited to say the least. I have been having non-stop contractions now for the past week and they can get pretty painful sometimes. The last thing my doctor said to me as I left was "we'll see you next week, if you make it that long." I'm really trying hard to not get too excited because chances are there won't be any action for at least another week or two, but it's still fun to hope. Right now I'm feeling a lot of anxiety as we still have no clue who is going to watch Kellen while I'm in the hospital and we don't know when or which mom is going to come out and visit, or even if they can. We're also a little nervous because the plan is to have a VBAC (vaginal delivery after cesarean)but you never know what can happen. I'm sure it will all work itself out, so I just need to relax. Life is great and I will keep you posted:) I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M GOING TO HAVE TWO KIDS!!!! CRAZY!!!!!

Bed Head

This little boy sweats alot when he sleeps so you can always expect some great hair-do when he wakes up. I especially loved this one with the horns on the sides:) What a happy cutie I have.

Goose Egg

Whenever Dad gets home from work it's crazy time. This is what happened when Kellen was running full speed, tripped, and went head first into the couch. Ouch!

Memorial Day

For Memorial Day we took Kellen swimming. He didn't seem to care for it much last year so we weren't quite sure what to expect. However, this time around he LOVED it. All he wanted to do the entire time was jump off the side of the pool...he has no fear. He threw a huge tantrum when it was time to go. I can't wait to take him again.

Look at that smile.
