Babies

We have been an extremely blessed family this year with the much anticipated pregnancies of both my siblings.

My sister Charlotte and her husband Jason are expecting their first little boy named Trey any day now. I wish I could be there to meet him when he arrives, but I have my tickets booked and the countdown begins.

My brother Sam and his wife Lacey found out they were expecting Twins at the beginning of this year, and found out today that they are both girls. We are so excited, and a little bit in shock since my brother swore it was going to be two boys. I can't wait for their baby shower, it's going to be so much fun!!

They are going to be the best parents. This will bring the count for Scott grand-kids to 10...5 boys and 5 girls!!

Rolling Eyes and Pulling Hair

Aren't they handsome in this picture.

Kellen has quite the personality these days. From rolling his eyes at me and telling me "no" most of the day, I'm beginning to think I have a teenager on my hands. He has his wonderful moments too, and a lot of his behavior is dependent on my behavior...funny how that works. I've started giving myself time-outs lately, I find that often works better, because heaven knows I need them.

With Brady, I get smacked in the face and have my hair pulled, especially when I'm on the phone. So, if you ever call and I burst into tears, it's probably because Brady just pulled my hair. Believe me, this has happened before. So, in response to all this wonderful behavior, I've decided to just give Kellen everything he wants and never make him eat his dinner. With Brady, I've decided to give him my undivided attention every second of the day, and never make phone calls...oh if only.

I don't think you ever prepare yourself for how challenging and difficult motherhood can be. The days that are hard, just make the ones that are good all that much more sweeter.

I miss that chub

Sometimes I forget just how chubby Brady once was. It's always fun to find pictures like this. I hate how fast they grow up.

Back to Christmas

Christmas was wonderful. This year was our year to spend it with Tyler's family, and we spent it at his Grandparents cabin in Pine, Arizona. I was a little nervous how cold it would be, but surprisingly the little stove in the main family room kept the entire place toasty and warm. We all remained busy keeping the stove full of firewood. I can now say I know how to chop wood, and maintain a fire pretty well.

We had a great time chatting, and catching up with family. We watched movies, home videos, ate lots of yummy food, and played many games. We also made gingerbread houses, and decorated the cabin to feel nice and festive. One fun thing we did was take the kids out to cut down our very own Christmas tree. It was quite the adventure and didn't go as smoothly as everyone anticipated, but it will always be something we look back on with a chuckle. The tree actually fell over Christmas eve, but thankfully nobody got hurt.

Christmas Eve and Christmas day were so much fun watching all the cousins and family open presents. Kellen and Brady were thrilled and enjoyed their gifts from Santa. I'm so glad because we've decided to spend Christmas 2013 up at the cabin aswell, and I can't wait.

The amazing tree we found. Looks more like a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree, but who cares.

On a walk with Grandma.

Brady's new red wagon

After Christmas Tyler's brother Jared, and his wife Tamara, blessed their sweet little girl. This is his family, one brother named Kendall is missing unfortunately.

Car Roads

I got this idea off of Pinterest...as you can see, it was a big success. The boys played happily and didn't bother each other, sort of. We will definitely be doing this again.

Let the Posts Begin

I'm getting tired of looking at my blog and thinking about all the things I need to post about. So, I'm ready to bite the bullet and start posting...

In early December my mom and sisters were able to come out and visit on an unexpected trip. We had the most wonderful three day weekend you could imagine. We are the best of friends and I always feel so lucky to have these lovely ladies in my life. I look up to them so much, and am glad we finally got to spend some quality time together. Below are a few photos we captured over the weekend.
