Fishing
A few weeks ago, we went with some family up to Tyler's Grandpa's cabin for the weekend. We took the boys fishing which was quite an adventure. The lake we traveled to didn't have any beach, so we pretty much had to find a cliff we could sit on. It was very scary trying to keep the boys reined in and away from the edge. Not to mention that to get to our actual spot we had to climb down a very steep slope. Tyler told me to wait for him, but being my confident self, I thought I thought I could do it on my own. So I lifted Brady on my back and began the decent down. Minutes later we ended up falling and I crushed the poor little guy under me and thought I broke my wrist. After we were rescued from Tyler, and wiped away our tears, we made it to a gorgeous cave where we had a breathtaking view of the lake. I'm so glad we actually caught a fish, it made the trip worthwhile. It was very exciting, if you can't tell from my boisterous voice in the video below.
I can sew again!!
I know, it's cute right? I was pretty proud of myself for making this I have to admit. I took a sewing class in highschool and loved it. However, I haven't touched a sewing machine since. A couple years ago my husband bought me a sewing machine for Christmas. I was sooo excited but extremely intimidated, being that highschool was that last time I had touched one. Well, after two years of it sitting in it's box in my closet, I finally took it out. My sister-in-law gave me a refresher course on how to turn it on, thread it, and basically use it. I did attempt making some burp cloths before this and they were a disaster. I didn't quit though, and with help from a sweet girl in my ward and a lot of effort, I made this car-seat cover all by my myself. It feels nice to accomplish something and resurrect a skill I once enjoyed.

Summer has begun
Tyler was out of town last weekend for his sisters missionary farewell, so I took to the boys to a pool at a family members condo. We had a blast, except for the last 5 minutes when an old guy told me Kellen shouldn't be in the hot tub and to take him out. What he failed to understand was that the hot tub was lukewarm, and I was keeping a close eye on him. I wanted to tell him to mind his own business, but I decided to be civil. Anyway, here are a few pictures we took...the ones with the boys wearing the goggles are my favorite.

Mother's Day
My wonderful husband and kids surprised me Sunday morning with flowers and breakfast in bed. It was so sweet and made me feel very special. I am beyond blessed to be the mother of two such fun, energetic little boys. I am also grateful to have such a patient, hardworking, good looking husband, who is also my best friend.

Utah and Twins
I had the wonderful opportunity to travel solo to Utah to visit my family for a few days. Two reasons for my visit were to see my adorable new nephew and to attend a baby shower for my brother and his wife who were expecting twins girls. My brother and his wife were flying out from Missouri for the shower the same morning I was. They had a routine visit at the doctors that morning before they left, and found out unexpectedly that she was 4 cm dilated and 90% effaced. Needless to say, they sent her straight to the hospital. Considering the fact that she was only 25 weeks along, didn't make this news very exciting. We were all sad that the baby shower would have to be canceled, but obviously the health of the twins was much more important. They were able to stop her labor until Wed, May 2nd when she had to go in for an emergency c-section to deliver Mylo (1 lb 8 oz), and Mia (1 lb 12 oz). They are absolutely the most gorgeous little things ever. They are little fighters and have been doing really well. We can't believe what a miracle it was that they went in for that routine doctors visit that morning. We have been one very blessed family, and we can't wait for them to return home safe and well with Sam and Lacey.

I on the other hand was still able to go out and visit my family. It was such a great trip getting to relax and enjoy time with loved ones. It was fun getting to play and spend quality time with my nieces and nephews also, while not having to worry about my own kids. Although, it did make me very sad that they didn't get to play with their cousins, but we'll be coming out again in July. While in Utah we celebrated my brother and sisters b-day, did temple work, watched movies, ate yummy food, and much more. I came home rejuvenated and replenished, even though I didn't catch up on as much sleep as I anticipated;)
